Comfort, the alpine pasture, heartfelt cordiality and a view of the Erzwies meadow – our concept is simple and yet exceptional. Here you are directly next to the skiing slope and in the midst of the hiking paradise Hohe Tauern. Our Felding Stubn offers an authentic ski hut atmosphere, whereas in our alpine suites you can enjoy your privacy and spend valuable time with your loved ones whilst cooking and eating together. It is a place of wellbeing where luxury and cosiness meet.

About us

The tranquillity, the fresh air, the mountain backdrop – all of this has an extraordinary effect on people. We – the family Sendlhofer – love to manage the Felding Stubn and to make our gests feel this special alpine experience in our alpine suites. The Herzwies is a family business and all of us work hard for it: Michael leads the kitchen, Gerhard manages the restaurant, Veronika takes care of the alpine suites.  

Our house

The history of the Felding Stubn dates back over 500 years. Originally it was built as a mountain farm and in the 19th century it was run as an alpine hut. In 1996 the brothers Gerhard and Michael Sendlhofer converted it into a ski restaurant. During the modernisations they always paid special attention to preserving the old style. In 2011 we were able to realise our dream of luxuriously equipped alpine suites. In 2019 the Herzwies facilities were expanded by another 8 new apartments and a private spa.
